Smartbeats by Smartwater was the first-of-its-kind program designed to enhance your holistic wellness through the fusion of music, technology and hydration. In collaboration with artists Toro y Moi, Nosaj Thing, Madeline Kenney, Empress Of, and Washed Out and powered by sound technology app Endel, Smartbeats are soundtracks and soundscapes designed to enhance your flow and mental balance. Produced by Toro y Moi, the Smartbeats soundtracks were created to compliment Smartwater products – giving fans a Smartwater product and music to go along with it for any occasion.

“Balance” featuring Washed Out
Washed Out is a pioneer of chillwave. Split the term and you get his approach to music: rhythm, melody and harmony reminding you to sit back, relax, find your groove, and ride your own wave.
Designed to enhance mental balance, his track is inspired by Smartwater antioxidants. Strong believers in finding the right balance in their professional and personal lives, both Washed Out and Toro y Moi know the importance of this track all too well.
“Flow” featuring Madeline Kenney
At first, delicate, Madeline Kenney’s smooth guitar licks soon lash out, pushing you to find your stride and your flow, much like she finds her own, every time her guitar rocks.
Madeline and Toro y Moi's flow track is inspired by Smartwater still - the original. It is designed to get you in a state of flow, fully present and immersed in whatever you’re doing, from changing the world to changing a light bulb.
“Move” featuring Nosaj Thing
Nosaj Thing is no stranger to collaboration, having partnered with some of the industry’s leading artists. Now, alongside his long-time friend Toro y Moi, Nosaj Thing is taking on a new adventure by collaborating with technology to rethink how music can help people move.
Their move track is inspired by Smartwater alkaline and is designed to complement physical activities that you enjoy breaking a sweat to. A strong believer in finding alternative ways to wellness, Nosaj Thing’s ambient musical background makes him the perfect artist for this track.
“Connect” featuring Empress Of
For Empress Of, connecting with people is always an opportunity to learn something. Together with Toro y Moi, they’ve created a track that sets the perfect mood for people to connect and learn from one another.
Their connect track is inspired by Smartwater sparkling and is designed to complement any and every social gathering. Empress Of and Toro y Moi both understand the importance of having a strong social circle in their lives to keep them whole and growing.
